We had a great time at the bloggers’ night at the AMC Mainstreet theater, opening May 1st. I stayed a bit after the movie we saw for some interior shots, mainly of this dome, at the entrance. I’ve posted a couple of other shots of this renovated theater in prior posts, albeit exterior views.
The Cinema Suites are on the second level, and, well, are just more luxurious than would be expected in a typical multiplex. We were shown a pre-screening of Brothers Bloom, which was a fairly amusing movie.
I’ll be there May 8th to see the new Star Trek.
On this photo - fisheye lenses are so much fun to train on interior domes, but along with that comes the challenge of getting things as symmetrical as possible in both the capture of the shot in-camera and in the post-processing on one’s computer. Most of the symmetry I was going for in this shot is there, but I still have a couple of nit-picks.
*disclaimer note* although I have done freelance contract work for AMC, we have agreed that none of the shots from the bloggers night will be bought or sold.
