I was glad I hadn’t completely put away my camera gear as I was heading away from the area towards my car on Friday, as I came across a pair of the mounted police officers. Getting right up to a horse’s long face combined with a wide angle lens makes for some fun geometry, even if the “technical” aspects aren’t as up to par as I would wish for. But, the lighting was very difficult - highest ISO sensitivity, widest aperture, and it was still tough to get a usable shot for this scene.
