I found something a bit surreal about this, as three suns could be seen for an instance if one happened to have a fisheye lens on hand. Even more uncanny is the nearly identical arrangement of three suns seen in a photo I took in New York City in October, and posted to this photo blog on January 7th. CLICK HERE TO VIEW
The three suns are almost arranged alike too, although the population centers are obviously different, what with leviathan New York compared to our more moderately scaled Kansas City.
About this intersection of 13th and Main in downtown Kansas City (Missouri), in the right half of the photo are the new grocery store, along with the green highrise H&R Block headquarters, built in 2005. Call me a douchebag hipster downtown cheerleader, but this place was barren and worthless a mere five years ago, tax shortfalls or not. Have a look at the former state of this place with Google Street View.
I’ve stood at the corner of the Cosentino’s Downtown Market there taking photos at least three or four times now. I’m about to wonder if their managers are going to start finding me suspicious.
