The scene from Union Hill

One tripod mounted RAW // HDR // Shutter: 10 sec. // Aperture: f/18 // Focal Length: 105 mm // ISO 200

On the morning of Monday 3/9/09 I awoke early with the bright idea of trying to get some kind of Sleepy-Hollow-esque cloudy sunrise photos from Union Cemetery. But as usual their gates were closed with no indication of when they open. I was going to end up rather annoyed if I didn’t come away that morning with new photos of something, whatever that something may be. So I went up the hill a quarter of a mile or so and took this kind of skyline shot.

If I recall correctly, a few Union Hill residents were annoyed with the construction of that office building in the middle, as it blocks the view of the downtown skyline. But of course to build a real city you can’t always be concerned about views being blocked.
