First I’ll take Manhattan and then I’ll take an aerial

I was all excited about posting this in color, but then became afraid it looked too manipulated. Therefore I went grayscale. The lighting wasn’t the most favorable that afternoon from this angle, so when I opened up this photo today I set about twiddling with some color settings in Lightroom. After that I thought “Great!” and then returned later and viewed it again, only to be struck by an impression of excessive manipulation. Blah blah.

The Stuyvesant Town public housing development of Manhattan is very visible there in the foreground.

It’s a warm and stormy Saturday night in Kansas City as I put this together. It feels great.
