Here was some rampant, almost gilded fountaineity in New York, heading into the evening. One must ponder what the backdrop would resemble in the morning with the skyscrapers, as I just love the smell of skyscrapers in the morning. Don’t you also?
Also - people who know me well also know me for habitually complaining about how woefully, horridly gawd-awful the general state of journalism, newscasting, and reporting are in this post-modern societal court of horrors. Local news in particular. Most of it is so cringe-inducing that I’m forming stress wrinkles on my face prematurely. Although I’ve been doing a better job these recent months of not watching them.
And the commercials that run on the national news - are we all a blubberous nation of waddling dolts suffering from erectile dysfuntion (I have another word for this but since people from work look at this site I’ll refrain) and osteoporosis? Osteoporosis, you ask? Yes. The reason I bring it up is because there is almost nothing more odious and grating to my sensibilities as Sally Field on the nightly national news in full pulpiteering mode about osteoporosis medication.
I now digress. Sometimes things get rather manic and the thoughts come rapidly, but it always feels great to do a little writing when that happens. Sure it may be stressful, but I eat stress for breakfast six days a week, so it’s all good.
