Of several of the St. Louis skyline shots I grabbed from the Eads Bridge, this one was done with a single exposure for HDR, instead of multiple source images from the camera like I did with the others.
There are times when HDR has the practical uses of remedying high contrast compositions, and then there are the times when HDR just adds some ineffable quality to the scene that gives improvement. And to those soulless minions of orthodoxy out there who complain about artistic license in HDR, I’d wager they’re also lacking a bit in imagination.
