The setting was two Friday mornings ago at sunrise, and I had parked in Quality Hill and then meandered randomly around as the sun crept up. For this shot, an ATA driver was enjoying a smooth refreshing smoke break, and I snapped some shots of his bus as he stood a few paces away smoking and wondering what my deal was.I assumed he was at the beginning of a long day bussing the streets of Kansas City - which my paternal grandfather did with both the streetcars and later the buses, and which my father has been doing for over thirty years in addition. I’m breaking the tradition though - I’d rather just troll the city taking pictures.
