…photo of my paternal grandmother right after her birthday dinner - the 81st birthday if I recall, back in April. I’m a few months behind in posting it looks like. Of my four grandparents (yes, we are all alotted four, mathematically), my grandfathers are both long deceased, but the grandmaternals are still alive and at it. Actually I’m more worried about my parents kicking a bucket here and there sooner than their parents will.
Now, I used my 50 mm prime lens for this shot, which is just one of the best ever for portraitish kind of photos, and my next fun-filled expenditure will be the Canon 85 mm prime. Like the 50 mm it has a maximum aperture of f/1.8, but is built more solidly maybe.
