Jan Marcason & Mary O’Halloran

Shutter: 1/60 // Aperture: f/4.0 // Focal Length: 60 mm // ISO 100

A shot from early on in the festivities at the watch party for the Jason Kander house seat campaign last Tuesday. Jan Marcason, KCMO City Councilwoman to the left, with Mary O’Halloran on the right. In this instance I sort of halfway felt like a good-for-nothing, blood-sucking paparazzo, as I saw two somewhat well-known community leaders right next to me, and I couldn’t help but aim the camera their way. I’ve always maintained that the paparazzi represent the lowest form of photography, but I will admit that I can understand the fun of getting photos of well known people. And I’m still kicking myself for taking a nap on my couch while the Barack Obama visit was happening in downtown Kansas City a few months ago.
