I’m going through one of those periods where I’m not too confident of my artistic output. I wandered around downtown for two hours last night but felt mostly like I wasn’t capturing anything inspired or photo worthy. It’s kind of a rut I guess. There are these infernal floodlights at 10th and Baltimore that ruin night shots looking upward, so I was annoyed about that. I can’t get into the KC Live portion of the Power and Light district with my big camera and tripod, so that annoyed me too. And, it feels like I’ve photographed Kansas City’s built environment to death. But whatever, I’m just hoping I don’t end up falling out of love with photography.
