Well I’m back in Kansas City now. I spent the weekend at my 89 year old maternal grandmother’s place in Stafford, Kansas, and while out there I was hoping to jaunt over to the Red Hills area of southern Kansas for some landscape shots. I had planned on going Saturday afternoon, but called those plans off due to the dreary monotone blanket of cloud cover that had enveloped the sky. So, I was going to try for sunrise this morning, but after getting up at 5 AM and getting in my car, I decided it was too bloody cold to bear, so once again I canceled that idea. But, I made four or five stops on the side of the highway coming home today (Sunday), and snapped some shots, generally in the area of the Flint Hills. This old schoolhouse is one of them.
