Texturing performed in Photoshop by overlaying a texture layer over original image

… in other news, I had a paying shoot earlier this afternoon which resulted in nearly 200 RAW files to sift through, and because of this I now see what a wasteful, hideous, crappy piece of bloatware Aperture is (a RAW photo organizer and editor by Apple, for Macintosh computers). Dealing with the damned infernal Aperture makes me want to tear someone’s face off. The software crashed once already, and when it does actually stay open, it is so slow that it’s practically useless. Apparently it needs a high powered graphics card, and when I configured and bought my Mac Pro desktop machine last year, I figured I could get by with a run of the mill graphics card since most everything I do involves still images. Or whatever. No such luck. Now if I ever want to use this stupid Aperture software, I’ll need a better video card. I’d love to do all my RAW editing in Adobe Photoshop Camera RAW, but there are still some features missing from it. Or I could try Adobe Lightroom; I hear it’s not such a blubbering piece of bloatware crap, at least compared to the misery of dealing with Aperture.
