Allow me to dig up some shots from a couple of weeks back. As I posted previously before the cutover to the new site, a friend of mine has access to the twelfth floor balcony in a downtown apartment building, and I got to go up there one evening for some city shots. I haven’t been taking any new photos lately, as I am waiting for a sensor cleaning kit I ordered to arrive. Dust and dirt on digital SLR camera sensors truly are the bane of digital photography.
About this photo - when looking at the raw version on my big monitor, I was rather unimpressed with the details owing to the lousy depth of field I got from this because of the relatively wide-open aperture I used. I metered, and notched down the stops as needed until I could get a properly exposed photo - which meant opening that damn aperture ever wider. But anyway, I guess the better option might have been to keep a more narrow aperture and just use the bulb setting.
I still have a lot of work to do with the new site, in addition to some extra stuff I’d like to add in the future.
