I have mixed feelings about this one. The blasted power line overhead detracts and distracts at the same time, but otherwise I kind of like this picture for showing a not-always-noticed vantage point looking toward the downtown loop. Though even still, this part of downtown Kansas City isn’t nearly as appealing compared to some other vantage points looking on downtown.
The north side of the Interstate highway loop lies unseen between the subject buildings of the loop and where I was standing in the River Market, and it is that which has managed to first destroy and later prevent any further conurbation between the loop and the River Market. They really had some wild (stupid) ideas about urban planning and design in the latter half of the prior century.
