I trotted about the Plaza last night seeing if I could get any more decent photos. It turns out I could not. Though it’s only a matter of time before another Plaza security guard on a Segway accosts me claiming I can’t take pictures of the storefronts. No doubt it would be terroristic and dangerous for pictures of storefronts to be captured, and I’m quite certain the Nelson Atkins museum is far more safe now that it has my name and phone number on file. Yes, if you are a photographer, the odds are you are working for terrorists. Or so the pervasive line of moronic thought goes among combed over bureaucrats who feel they have to take some sort of action, no matter how inconsequential and stupid that action - in order to make their superiors believe they are being “proactive.”
