Above is the recently completed 4646 Broadway condo project to the left, with the Townsend Place building to the right.

Some cities manage to built tall AND adhere to good urban design at street level. However with these two condo projects, and a lot of other developments in KC, the street-level experience is somewhat barren.

Below is another photo from the Plaza — notice that I didn’t need to aim the camera upward here, as there is enough visual activity at ground level to keep the eye (or camera lens) stimulated.
